The Future of Hospitality Institute has collaborated with a variety of academics and subject matter experts to deliver research and insight during phase one.

The principal research partner is Fraunhofer IMW, part of the Frauhofer-Gesellschaft, the world’s leading applied research organisation.

Based on the results of a market analysis conducted by additional research partner BVA-BDRC, the essential future research trends are being prioritized together with the project partners.

This is followed by two open innovation competitions to collect feedback from ‘the crowd’ on ideas for solutions within serviced living via the digital crowdsourcing platform developed by Fraunhofer IMW. In the final step, selected solutions will be evaluated by potential users in terms of their practicality and user-friendly applicability.
