Professional Experience
Dileep Thankappan joined the PKF hospitality group in 2018 and is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In his present capacity as Director, his consulting activities include strategic advice, operator search and asset management primarily in countries throughout the Middle East.
Prior to joining the PKF hospitality group, Dileep worked for PKF The Consulting House for over ten years as Group Finance and Administration Manager. He was instrumental in the development of the organisation and group structure, as well as contributing his knowledge and experience to consulting assignments, amongst others, in the areas of financial analysis, data mining, strategic advisory, operator search and asset management.
Dileep also worked for Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) for four years. He actively contributed his experience to the opening of a privately-owned hotel and a tour operating company in Kottayam, India, as well as working three years as Accounts & Administration Manager. Dileep moved to Dubai in 2005 and joined a branding and advertising company as Accounts Manager where he was promoted up to Director of Operations.
Dileep obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and Administration from MG University, Kerala, India. In addition, he has completed his Cost and Management Accounting (Intermediate) at The Institute of Cost Accountants of India and received a master’s degree in Finance and Administration from Manipal University, India.
